Is Ferrari planning a LaFerrari Spider?

Rumours are swirling that Ferrari is considering building a limited-run of LaFerrari Spiders.

Photographer D Benoit posted an image on Facebook he says shows that the V12 hybrid special is going topless. The picture, which appears to be an invite to a private launch event for a handful of Ferrari customers, features a carbon fibre jewellery box with a sketch of a LaFerrari Spider on the front.

According to Motor1, the luxury car-maker has already held the reveal, with buyers of the track-ready FXXK getting first dibs.

Production will be capped at 150 units initially, with the ability to expand to 200 if necessary, and prices are believed to be well in excess of the US$1.4m-plus paid for the standard LaFerrari examples.
