The Grand Tour’s plan to replace ‘Celebrity Brain Crash’ with real celebrities

We’re less than a month out from the premiere of The Grand Tour Series 2, and from what we’ve seen so far it is clear that Amazon has been listening carefully to what fans had to say about last year’s installment. For starters, we learned that The American will not be returning for Series 2, and now it appears that everyone’s least favorite segment ‘Celebrity Brain Crash’ has also been given the flick. The news just keeps getting better and better, doesn’t it?

In a new promotional video released on YouTube, Jeremy Clarkson confirms that Amazon has decided to do away with Celebrity Brain Crash, which involved a celebrity being killed off in not very humorous ways as they attempted to make their way to The Grand Tour tent. A celebrity segment will still be retained, however, as Clarkson explains in the video above.

In what we’re going to call ‘A Star in Half a Car’, each week a celebrity will be invited to drive an Alfa Romeo which Clarkson has sawn in half – and either face a series of challenges or simply seeing how far they can drive it before they spin out.

Whatever they end up doing, we can safely say it’ll most definitely be better than Celebrity Brain Crash. Not once did we find it entertaining to see the guests pretend-killed en-route to the tent every single week.

So no more dying celebrities then! Unless they die horribly in a fiery Alfa Romeo crash…

The problem with 2 wheels on a car is that instead of turning, it will ‘crab’ diagonally. The rear wheels of a car provide something of a pivot point when the car turns. Here the “back” of the car is just dragging.

Hope they don’t drag it out for too long
