Jay Leno’s Garage: 1915 LaBestioni Rusty Two

Gary Wales stops by the garage to show Jay his new creation, the 1915 LaBestioni Rusty Two, that he was able to restore from an abandoned rusted out American LaFrance fire truck.

Wales designed and built the entire amazing creation. The hood and the radiator are both from the original firetruck, the engine is a 14-liter T-head that’s been restored to its former glory, and the color is nothing more than patina with a clear coat. Disc brakes and power steering help make it more driveable, but power is still routed through a three-speed transmission and sent to the rear wheels via chain drive.

Based in Brisbane, Australia, Sean has loved cars his entire life. At 21 he launched the popular 80’s Falcon forum xFalcon.com, then at 24 created TopGearbox.com, one of the most popular Top Gear fansites in the world.
