Episode Guide

In the final episode of the series, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May present a short and informative history class on one of the bedrocks of British life; the medium-sized Ford saloon.

Starting with the Cortina of the 1960s and ‘70s, the three chart the history of the car that changed British society and provided transport for millions of dads including Clarkson senior and father May though not, to his annoyance, Richard’s dad.

To cover the ‘80s part of this documentary, Richard takes to the track in the legendary Sierra RS Cosworth before all three hosts re-group to celebrate the Ford Mondeo and this model’s unique claim to fame. Since the Mondeo seems certain to cease production without replacement in the coming years, the history lesson ends with a touching memorial service to this totem of British life.

The most touching episode of Grand Tour, just like TG S15E06.But just like Andy said in an interview,it is an end of an era.And the finale mix is just perfect. The use of Eric Clapton’s Layla is perfect.Wild touching and to save the final moment. This is sure the most tear requested episode from the trio. And sure it is not the end of their show.Although I do prefer they retire soon

13 week or even more I was waiting for the episode featuring Oliver and Sebastian Vettel…
But it never came!

Well after 25 series, (22 on BBC and 3 on Amazon) we’ve reached the end of an era. Not just the end of Ford’s Brilliant Mid Size Saloon but the end of everything we know and love about the great trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. No more interactive audience, no more funny news segments, no more petrol head track tests, no more standalone segments and no more studio based car shows. Thank you Jeremy, Richard, James and Andy for 17 years of non stop laughs and banter. Through the highs, the lows, the goods, the bad, the trio of Clarkson, Hammond and May will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you and Good Luck with the Future Specials.

This was certainly one of the best, if not the best episode in the 3 seasons of GT. Overall, this season has seen some good episodes including the Scottish one, the Mongolia one, and the Columbian ones. However, there was also a few duds including the RV episode and the pick-up episode. Some of the others like the Chinese one, the Hot Hatchback one and the Legends and Luggage one were good ideas that just became too silly (the suitcase scene at Stansted was a waste of time).
It sounds like the gang will be back for some specials at some undetermined time in the future.
