Series 26 of the BBC’s long-running car show Top Gear will be returning to UK screens imminently, after receiving a confirmed launch date today. Top Gear TV is set to kick off on Sunday February 17th at 8pm on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid will be returning for a rather short series – just five-episodes in total. But as usual, they’ll each be an hour long and contain some of the best motoring entertainment and consumer advice.
In the new trailer we caught a glimpse of a great number of things – including a 2019 Bentley Continental GT power sliding through the mountains, amphibious rickshaws, some budget track cars, the Bentley Speed 8 Le Mans prototype racer, men in wingsuits, Chris Harris driving a blue Porsche 911 GT3, and soft-offroad vehicles being taken where they really shouldn’t be.
Guests taking to the track in the Reasonably Fast Car this series include X-Men star James Marsden, rapper and singer-songwriter Professor Green, and Episodes star Stephen Mangan.
Series 26 of Top Gear – Matt LeBlanc’s last as lead host – will debut on February 17th 2019 on BBC Two, followed by Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris’ all-new Series 27 later in the year.
