Vote for the best Top Gear episodes

As Top Gear fans we all learnt one thing in 2015 – our favourite TV show is going to change and perhaps not for the best. Jeremy, Richard and James have all departed and will be replaced by Chris Evans and two yet-to-be-announced hosts. The format will most likely see substantial changes too, as the BBC can’t just replace the hosts and expect the show to work. They’ll attempt to reinvent it and inject some freshness into the format.

It is clear then, that Top Gear as we know it will never be the same again.

With our boys gone and no further episodes to air with them in it, we should celebrate their contribution to both the world of cars and entertainment by working together to create a definitive 2015 Top Gear Top 100 Best Episodes list. Last year we created a Top Gear Top 100 Best Episodes list – but thanks to all the votes placed on our site in the time that has passed since, the rankings have changed substantially. If you’d like to learn how to get involved, read on…

Every episode guide has its own star rating (out of 10), which is based on all of the votes submitted by our readers – people just like you! So if you’d like to get involved and help shape our final 2015 Top 100 Best Episodes list, it is actually very easy. All you have to do is rate your favourite episodes (and most importantly the ones you don’t like) and you’ll be helping us determine which Top Gear episodes deserve to be on the list. Rate as many or as little as you like! The final Top 100 list should will then be generated and is set to contain some quality Top Gear episodes.

But hurry! You’ve only got until September 15th to place your votes and be a part of it all. I’ll then query the vote database and start building the final Top 100 list for 2015. So get involved – VOTE for your favourite episodes and SHARE this page with all your Top Gear loving friends to get everyone involved. Together, I know we can create something truly amazing and say goodbye to the Top Gear format we all know and love.

It’s an special that’s IMO deserves to be recognized!

It is recognized but whether it will appear on the list at the end is entirely dependent on vote numbers.

Their special episodes are all great. But for Top Gear Polar Special stands out. Maybe because of the magnitude of what they did up there in the north pole. Very funny episode it was too.

For normal episodes. I think all of their cheap car challenges were just magnificent. Their cheap Italian supercar. Their cheap Porsche challenge. Their tribute to Austin cars and so many others.

Top gear News was the only news I’d watch.

Cool wall was hilarious. -Does your dad still has that 911? is it still yellow ? Get in there. :)) –

I really want to watch those but I’ve never bought their DVDs. Probably because they’re a bit overpriced.

It’s not as good as it sounds. It’s also I think around 30 mins. I’d give it about 6*. Not too funny but it’s still TG

Good suggestion. I actually had them on here all along, but they weren’t assigned to a category. I’ve added them both to ‘Specials’ and linked the videos up – thanks!

For me, seasons 9-12 were most shiny stars of the show. But maybe because tv station I watched TG lost rights to air at season 9, and I learned from friend they were still going when 12 just ended… so I got some epic marathon.

Series 1-2 Boring (good car info, bad humor)
Series 3-5 Ok (humor is getting better)
Series 6-8: Good but could be better (a good balance of info an humor)
Series 9-20: EPIC (early series had the perfect balance of info and humor later series just got too funny)
Series 21 & 22: Not as good as I expected for some reason :/ (not much info and humor died down a bit).

I’ve got a fair bit of voting to do.

Voting complete, I’d say that my 2 Fav series are 12 and 13.

I’d give Top Ground Gear Force 10*
I’d give Top Gear of The Pops 7*

I’d generally agree, but I guess it depends when you started watching it. For me it was around series 5 – so I have a soft spot for it, plus series 6 & 7. From there on it continued to get better and better, except for Series 13, which I thought was a tad boring.

Lol, 13 is one of my favs xD

Ep1 was great with the race, the teen challenge in ep 2 was funny, the VW ad was good too in one of the other eps and RWD car films was funny as hell.

I’ll be honest I wasn’t a TG fan at all, I was so bored that one day the only thing there was to watch was TG so I thought I’d give it a go and I loved it. I’d say I started somewhere around S8 or 9 maybe.
