In this episode of MotoringBox, I discover a failing part on the AU Falcon just in time before it got worse! Our 1-year old Repco water pump has a plastic pulley which isn’t built to last, so we’re replacing it with a brand new metal one which should outlast the rest of the car. There’s also an issue with the AU’s dash no longer displaying the engine temperature, which is an unfortunate side effect of installing a Haltech ECU in a piggyback configuration. So to get around the issue, I decided to create a custom mounting bracket so I could install my Haltech IC7 dash, which will allow me to display coolant temp, and a ton of other data which will be helpful down the road!
