The Grand Tour

The Who’s Roger Daltrey or James May could sing the Grand Tour theme song?

As if The Grand Tour didn’t sound manly enough, it’s now being reported that Jeremy Clarkson is eyeing up Roger Daltrey and Wilko Johnson to provide the theme tune. According to The Sun, The Who’s lead singer and the Dr Feelgood star are top of Jezza’s list to pen a song for the show. The two reportedly performed a song for Amazon back in August, which acted as an “audition”.

Apparently one of the possible cuts is a “rocking blues number”, and there’s even talk of Captain Slow himself James May helping out – now that would be interesting!

The much-anticipated Amazon Prime show is gearing up for its launch next month, recently dropping a first proper trailer.

In the clip it seems like the trio of Clarkson, May and Richard Hammond are up to their usual antics from Top Gear, with May breaking his arm only to be mercilessly mocked by the other two.

They will gallivant across the globe in the show, and Amazon announced last week that fans from 100 countries are vying for tickets to The Grand Tour’s return to the UK.

The UK filming will take place in Whitby, Yorkshire, a far cry from the more exotic locations of Johannesburg and California.

The boys also had a wild ride with The Late Late Show’s James Corden last week, just in case you haven’t had your fill of Jezza and co yet.

The Grand Tour premieres worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on November 18.
