Episode Guide

In this mini-special, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May take it upon themselves to try and end world hunger with an incredible journey across Mozambique.

The three notice that people in the coastal regions of this country are well-fed on the bountiful supplies of fish from the ocean, while those in the interior exist on the brink of hunger.

Their solution is to find a way to transport that fish inland but, predictably, they cannot agree on the best method to do this.

With Clarkson in a Nissan pick-up, May in an old Mercedes 200T, and Hammond on a brand new TVS Star motorcycle, the three invent different methods of food transportation and set off an epic, challenging and extraordinary journey to try and save the world.

A decent episode, got some laughs out of me, but it felt lacking in the soul that the old TG specials had. Also what happened to Hammond nearly dying…again? Will there be another part maybe?

I know what you mean. I rewatched the old Botswana Special the other day and was amazed at how great it still is. As for the accident, I’m not sure why that was left out – they did promise that it was going to be shown but maybe it ended up on the cutting room floor in the final edit.

Bit disappointed really as only being 1 hour and not longer , the last special they did this short was 10 years ago in the Botswana special , also they have now done 4 specials in Africa so it’s aboit time they chose another continent. The deep mud reminded me of river nile special . Like it when my may mentioned Morecambe as that’s where I live

Lots of laughs for Hammond’s crashes and James’s fleeing aquarium. Too bad Jeremy smoked his fish with his exhaust fumes. As for the rest of the season, it’s a bad result with bad ideas. But that’s why I love Jeremy, Richard and James.

imho, they should slip-in the crews interaction, here and there.
i recently watched ‘the makings’ or ‘behind the scenes’ footage of their trip to burma, and it was funny. especially the parts when andy wilman and jeremy were ‘discussing’ james snoring. just like some of the scene in botswana (i think) where they had to get help from the crews pushing their car, or the part where the cameramen were shown useless at taking shots of wildlife, or the crews lining up to use jeremy’s mmobile toilet, or the most recent in GT, where jeremy found a couple making out in the fog and we can see the crews laughing along.
