Jeremy Clarkson spotted driving the new Ford GT in New York

With the launch of Series 2 just a month or so away, The Grand Tour team are out and about filming a few last minute segments – and have recently been spotted in Canada and now in New York.

Video footage posted on YouTube today shows host Jeremy Clarkson filming with the new Ford GT outside The Plaza hotel in Manhattan. A few members of Ford’s PR team were also present, and the gentleman filming the video was able to get extra exclusive details relating to what the GT was being used for.

“You know, the classic them going on public transport, him going on a road-trip,” a female Ford employee says, with Manhattan being the starting location.

The man behind the camera also says: “I did catch a glimpse. They two went in there obviously while he was filming,” suggesting that Richard Hammond and James May possibly entered the nearby bus interchange on the corner of 5th Ave and W 59th Street.

It is uncertain at this stage as to where Clarkson, Hammond and May are racing to, but we’re glad to see an epic race will be featured in The Grand Tour Series 2!
